There are many different insurers offering you all forms of Insurance and in some instances Assurance policies. The difference between insurance and assurance is that insurance is a policy whereby an individual receives financial protection against losses that may occur whereas assurance is coverage for an event that is certain to happen.

Insurance policies come in all sorts of forms including life insurance policies, home insurance policies, car insurance policies and pet insurance policies. Apart from life insurance most insurance policies have some form of coverage where you may be exposed to making a small payment before they will cover the rest of the insurance claim.

Insurance policies are normally purchased direct from the insurance companies or from insurance brokers.

There are many companies such as CARE (Christian Action Research and Education) who can offer assistance.

Home insurance is often split into content insurance and building insurance with building insurance covering the structure of the property and content insurance covering the personal belongings including cash and electrical appliances. In some instances you may also be covered for accidental damage on many household items. 

Travel insurance is very important if you’re going abroad as if you need treatment abroad it can become very expensive so it is wise to take out travel insurance before you travel. Travel insurance is also ideal in case you have your passports or money stolen or your luggage is misplaced.

Once you are covered all insurance policies offer you that added peace of mind and all important protection.
