You will also be covered for accidental death, injury or disablement benefit and in many instances overseas funeral expenses.

It is to be noted that you will not be covered for any pre-existing medical conditions that are incurred before you begin travelling, pregnancy related expenses and any injury or illness caused due to alcohol or drugs. Most travel insurance policies will not cover you for any war or terrorism either.
