Pullmantur Cruises

Not very well known since their inception in the late 1990’s Pullmantur Cruises have come to the fore after being purchased by Royal Caribbean in 2006. Royal Caribbean in their efforts to fight the battle against the Carnival Corporation looked upon Pullmantur Cruises as a way of gaining access to the Spanish cruise market.

Another reason for buying the cruise line was to get their hands on ms Blue Dream and ms Blue Moon, formally of the defunct Renaissance Cruises, these ships are now part of a new cruise line called Azamara Cruises, run by Celebrity Cruises and part of the Royal Caribbean International conglomerate. In return Pullmantur Cruises have received Zenith from Celebrity Cruises and will soon get their hands on Sovereign of the Seas from Royal Caribbean.

Though still a relatively unknown cruise company in the UK, the cruising style is akin to Island Cruises and Ocean Village and Pullmantur Cruises are suited to anyone who has enjoyed a typical Spanish holiday in the past.
