P&O Cruises

Often P&O Cruises are mistaken for P&O Ferries, the Ferry company who plough their trade across the channel between England and France. P&O Cruises are the number one cruise line in the UK, though like so many other cruise lines, they are American owned. The UK head office is based in Southampton, under the name of Complete Cruise Solution, who also runs Ocean Village a subsidiary of P&O Cruises. Complete Cruise Solution also run the UK arms of Cunard Cruises and Princess Cruises and are themselves owned by The Carnival Corporation, the parent company of Carnival Cruise Lines.

As from the spring of 2008, P&O Cruises now have six ships; Arcadia, Artemis (both Child Free), Aurora, Oceana and Oriana and their new baby (in age not size) Ventura. All six offer summer cruises from Southampton and then for the winter, two ships often do a world cruise while the others move to the Caribbean to offer Caribbean Cruises with direct charter flights from the UK.

P&O Cruises are rated a four star cruise line and offer comfortable ships with their own unique though different styles. As for the style of cruise on a P&O Cruises ship, well they are more traditional then most, however with so many people returning year after year they must be doing something right.
