Is Search Engine Optimization Dying?

I am often asked the question is Search Engine Optimisation dying and my answer is no, it is forever changing. That said I feel there are too many companies out there charging far too much for a service which can often lead to small companies not having a chance of getting optimised.

As a result of this we are now working on a new business services directory called “I’m After” where small companies can use our search engine optimization skills to enable them to get some form of positioning within the search engines, at a fraction of the costs associated from a dedicated package.

Early results are good with our first major town (well city really) Southampton gaining lots of high rankings in the first three weeks.

If you feel you can’t afford a full search engine optimization package then why not try I’mAfter?

Door Closers

It is surprising how big a business the Door Closers business is, I have just spoken to a nice couple in the business and quoted them on how much it would cost to optimise their Door Closers website.

Well technically it is not just door closers they do, they also sell Panic Hardware, Digital Locks and Sliding Door Gear.

What I am now going to do, after my Coffee and Sandwich is to look at their keywords and see what I think about the terms Door Closers, Panic Hardware, Digital Locks and Sliding Door Gear, before reporting back to them.

Update to Optimization Pages

After recent changes to this website I have updated a couple of posts, rebuilding the links to my new pages. There are redirects in place (301 redirects) however I would always recommend rebuilding links from your own pages.

The pages are numerous and can be found for search engine marketing, search engine optimisation, search engine ranking and search engine submission.

This page was update 20th December as we have just completed a search engine optimization update to this search engine optimization website.

Google Page Rank Update

It looks like Google is currently performing a page rank update, what this often means is that a few newer websites will drop over the next few weeks and then return as things settle. Why do I say this? Google Page Rank Updates over the last 8 months or so have had this effect often. They have also got it wrong on a number of occasions as well.

Lets hope this Google Page Rank Update (PR) goes to plan, so that we can relax for another 3 months or so.
