Search engine optimization can help people find your website when searching Google, so how does SEO get you in the listings?SEO is short for search engine optimization; it is the art of getting web pages looking good to both search engines and web users. Most people think that to rank highly in the search engines you need to employ an SEO; others believe that their web guy will get them to the top, because the new shinning website they have built looks so cool. This is wrong on both counts!
Search engines are becoming sharper in the way they produce their search engine listings; with Google updating about ten times a week. This means the only way to stay ahead of the game is by keeping up to date with the changes in website optimisation. Well that is what an SEO will tell you; they will then say it will cost you hundreds or even thousands of pounds a month to do the work for you.
I am now looking to take on one client; I work by myself and I am towards the top of Google for search engine optimization; why? I do the basic’s right; I do what Google tells me to do in its web master tools and I do not go out of my way to gain links from all and sundry! I stay ahead of the game because I try and create good content; this content is written in a way that Google likes and does not force search terms into it. It is not spamming by over using search terms, it is written so that all can read and value it.
At the moment I am working on a few projects; these include a local business directory which has been created to give high rankings for local search terms. This will work along with a new social business networking website; these two websites will offer a cheaper option to what is now on offer.
Cruises form a big part of my current work in the shape of Cruisegle, a cruise website dedicated to the world of cheap cruises. Cruisegle has been climbing the rankings fast as my search engine optimization takes effect.
